Kanecaron mattress cover

All materials

Kanecaron mattress cover is fire-retardant and is put on 300 grams fire retardant Dacron wadded. Neptune works with white and navy blue mattress cover. The ticking provides moisture regulation, gives improved comfort and protects the mattress core. Without mattress cover, one can not sleep on comfort foam. The ticking has a zipper, which is usually placed on the bottom and sometimes on the side of the mattress. The cover is washable but customers are advised to leave this to a laundry or dry cleaning. Often they are too big for the normal washing machine and they are not allowed in the dryer.

What’s Kanecaron?

Kanecaron is a modified acrylic (modacrylic) fiber* developed by Kaneka in 1957. It is one of the leading synthetic fibers created using local technologies, and its exceptional qualities of a natural feel of human hair or fur, superior coloring, and flame resistance has seen this material applied in an extensive range of daily uses, including artificial fur, curtains and drapes, bedding, children’s soft toys, and wigs and other hair pieces.

The feel of natural fur

One of the features of Kanecaron is its natural fur-like feel. Soft and highly flexible, the Kanecaron fiber has been developed in a range of thicknesses, lengths, and cross-sections to provide an array of textures. The material is easily dyed, and how the fibers are combined and used will allow an external appearance that is very similar to the look of real fur.

Flame retardant and self extinguising

Another characteristic feature of Kanecaron is its flame-retardant properties. The level of oxygen needed for Kanecaron to burn is greater than the atmospheric concentration of oxygen, so without the source of the fire, Kanecaron will not continue to burn. That is, Kanecaron is self-extinguishing once the flame source is removed.

Kanecaron is extensively used in various interior products not just for its aesthetic beauty and amenity, but for its flame-retardant properties as well. The Kanecaron fiber itself contains these flame-retardant properties, and also has self-extinguishing qualities so that combustion ceases as soon as the source of the flame is removed.

No deterioration in flame retardancy

Unlike fibers that have been treated with subsequent flame-retardant processes, there is no deterioration in Kanecaron’s flame-retardant properties even after repeated washing.
